Yves Klein is a french artist that was born in Nice in 1928. I had the opportunity to see his work in a museum in his hometown.
Klein was a leading member of the movement "Nouveau Réalisme" which basically refers to the new ways of perceiving the real. He is considered a french pioneer in modern art, specially performance art.
He was able to understood humanity and new ways of creating art in order to push barriers and see beauty in a different ways.
I saw his work and some videos of him in the Nice museum of modern art and I instantly fell in love with his work. Specially because he implemented many new methods including fire transformation, chemical shadows and many other new materials and creative processes to his work. I'm not gonna write much, but here is a little video of the creation of one of my favorite collection of art pieces called "Anthropométries".
I will also leave here some pictures of Yves Klein work that I had the opportunity to see live:
Enjoy!
If you want to know more about Klein you can google him and the information will just flood you.
